Breaking Barriers with Lindsay Gottlieb

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we’re proud to host an inspiring conversation with former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach and current USC Trojans women’s basketball coach, Lindsay Gottlieb. Coach Gottlieb will share the highlights of her basketball journey that took her all the way to the NBA as the league’s first female assistant coach. You’ll also have a chance to ask her questions about her coaching success, challenges, and insights during a live Q&A.
The event will be moderated by DirectTV’s Fantasy Show and former NFL network host, Lindsay Rhodes. It will also feature barrier breaking insight from NICE’s VP of Product Marketing, Laura Bassett.

Lindsay Gottlieb
Lindsay Gottlieb is the Head Coach of the USC Trojans women’s basketball team and a former assistant basketball coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Gottlieb was previously the head coach of the California Golden Bears women’s team.
In her second season in Berkeley, Gottlieb led the 2012–13 Golden Bears to their first Final Four in school history, their first Pac-12 Conference championship, and the most wins ever by a California women’s basketball team. Gottlieb was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year and was one of the four finalists for the Naismith National Coach of the Year. In her first season at Cal, Gottlieb’s Bears had a 25-10 record, making her the first women’s basketball coach to win 20 games in her first season at California. That same year, Gottlieb led the Bears to the second round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Gottlieb spent the previous three years as the head coach at UC Santa Barbara, where she led the team to two regular-season Big West championships in 2009 and 2011, as well as the Big West Tournament championship in 2009.

Lindsay Rhodes is the host of DirecTV’s weekly Fantasy Show where she covers you all the fantasy news every Sunday throughout the games. Lindsay also hosts her own podcast, “The Rhodes Show” where she brings you NFL coverage through her unique, nerdy lens. Every week, she pushes past the low-hanging fruit and brings news, analysis, and guest interviews that make the audience feel like they’ve learned something and are smarter, sharper football fans. She is also a sideline reporter on select college football games for CBS Sports. She was previously a host on NFL Network for many years.
